Here are the short stories people are sending me, I feel these stories reflect what all the Tinnitus sufferes are going through. Keep on sending me your stories, I would like to get also stories from those of you who are trying all kind of treatments and ofcourse the 5-Step System.
"I moved to
Norway almost nine years ago after meeting a Norwegian lady in my local
pub in England and falling in love. After moving here I had to take any
job that I could. This ended up in working for a hotel and cruise ship
safe company, within the steel department. As you can imagine there is a
lot of noise there (even though the quality of health and saftey here is
fenominal, they provide everytjing from steel toe capped shoes to ear
defenders with in built radio). However there is no getting over the
noise for example when someone comes to talk to you and you take off
your protection, that is when the damage occurs. I first noticed the
constant ringng in my left ear around four years ago, it wasn't too bad
but it was however annoying. Two years ago I had the opportunity to
leave that work place and start to work for an airline at 30,000 feet, I
do realise that this is a "high risk" environment too, but it was a step
on the ladder for me to make my way to being a pilot (my life long
dream). Guess what my tinnitus got worse. I found the three step
solution from Coleman on the internett and immediately ordered the
medicenes that were recommended, and also started with more excersise
than usual (I pulled out the multi gym and exersise bike from the dust
and reset up my gym). I have only been on the plan for a couple of weeks
now but seriously now and then I can HEAR the difference, the loud
ringinging has now and then dissapeared. All I can say is that up to now
I think it could be working, I will send another mail in the not to
distant future to let you all know how it is going. By the way I am
going to start fulfilling my dream soom and will be taking my pilots
examination."

"the constant noise is more like crickets chirping, thousands of them. they are subtle
enough that they are unnoticed mostly while other noise is present but
when things are quiet especially when you try to go to sleep they become
more prominent. this has been going on for about 9 months. i am able to
function without a problem other than an already diagnosed high
frequency loss but it is very annoying as i said especially at bed time."

insects singing in the woods at night. Like a shrill. It gives me head
and neck aches, my jaw gets tight. I cant sleep at night. This ringing
makes my blood pressure go extreemly high. I just want it to stop for
ever. Please can you help me. I read your story and it seems as if you
are walking in my shoes. I had a dream that someone said that one day
that I will wake up blind because of the ringing in the ears. I dont

I am experincing a very unpleasant situation with my ears i feel so very
annys like something is clug in my ears, and some stock-up airs, i can't
describe and explain well how i feel but when i search for the
description the most nearest is the word Tinnitus. I have been in to the
doctors and he cleans my ears with drops of liquid and cotton bubs after
that i just feel just a little better but still my ears annoys for weeks
until now. Just last night i pressed my nose to loss the liquid from
nose but when i started to blow my nose with the airs i feel my ears is
opening and feel that there where airs coming out after that situation i
feel better but not totally feel confortable with my annoying ears there
where still unpleasant thing inside my ears. with that regard i am
seeking for my confort since many nights and days i have been lost my
sleep and and appointment due to my ears. please help me any opinion and

ringing in my right ear lamost a year or so i would just hear it at
night watching t.v and when i go to bed. some times dont hear it, now
ihave a bad cold and its real bad don't stop i do have hight blood
pressure, but doctors say it dont couse ringing in the ear.i onley have
coffee in morring one cup. but i do take aspirin every day , just for
the heart,evendo i dont have heart problems. iam going to stop the
aspirin and see if it helps. i'll let you know thank you soooooooooo

My ear problem started about 5 years ago, I am currently 26 years of age. Never
heard of Tinnitus in my life until this last week. My ear problem was
never severe and there was no pain, just a slight noise in my right ear.
Over the years as I had the flu etc, the right ear was first to get
inflammed and those where the only times it bothered me. Over the last
month its been severe, thats when I decided to check google and the
first thing that came up was tinnitus. The doctor confirmed it as well.
The problem is that I am not on a medical aid so I am looking for viable
solutions. Besides the high pitched ringing in the right ear, i also
cannot hear clearly. Now I am on a journey which I hope has a happy
ending, this ringing in the ear is frustrating and uncomfortable.

"I have had a history of ear trouble since I was 5 year old starting with a perforated
ear drum which started like a puffing sound in my ear, but the Doctor
only gave my ear drops and though it eventually went, and didn't
resurface again till I was 10. And a different doctor diagnosed a
perforated ear drum, and she told me too she suffered from it, and some
how that made me feel better being that I wasn't alone. But my parents
and friends didn't seem to understand. Then I didn't have ear problems
again till my early 20's with a blocked feeling in the ears, then I was
diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 26 in 1992, then a year or so later I
was experiencing on and off a slight hissing buzzing noise in the ears,
again which came and went over the years. Then I hit my head on new
years day 2009, and since then the tinnitus even though mild has been
plaguing me since. Only people who suffer, or have suffered tinnitus
know the misery it can cause.

suffered never in my life any type of tinnitus or any other hearing
problem, but just one month month before I feel any problem in my ear
but after one month an ENT sirgin told me that u have tinnitus that is

"I have been suffering tinnitus since 2003. ENT specialists not able to rule out
what's the cause and of course no remedy. Looking back it may be due to
taking Xanax an anti-depressant drug as i was suffering from panic
attack due to the death of my husband in 2002. All i want now is a cure
for this non-stop buzzing in my ears as it is affecting my sleep and

As you noticed, many of the "stories" end with a request for help from me. Although I give each one a personal and specific reply, I would like to put here a certain email reply I sent, I think it will give a general example of what I answer:
Dear Yolada,
I read your email and it moved me. I know how hard it can be, and sometimes the suffering is unbearable. But! there is hope, you must believe in it, and I promise you that its possible to totally overcome tinnitus. I know there are numerous natural and non-natural treatments for tinnitus, and many people do find their peace and quiet. And so will you!
I recommend Colemans method because it worked for me and for many others. I wont say that my heart doesnt beat faster when I give hope to people like you, because Im afraid of the possibility that it wont work for you and that I might give hope for nothing. The truth is that it might happen. Im not a Doctor or a Tinnitus expert! Im just an ex-Tinnitus sufferer who believe that what helped me can help so many others. I believe with all my heart that most chances it WILL work for you like it worked for me and for so many others.
So, go ahead and try this 5-Step method, and write me! Tell me how it worked for you and that your life are better now. And even if it didnt, write me, tell me what happend. There is a solution out there, and you will overcome this.
Yolada, you can do this, the day will come that you will write "Im an ex-Tinnitus sufferer".
